Arrest warrant issued for stabbing suspect

RCMP are on the lookout for Kenneth Michael Wipfli, 35, in relation to a stabbing in the 1500 block of Pearson Avenue Thursday morning. Five charges have been approved against Wipfli and a warrant for his arrest has been issued.

RCMP are on the lookout for Kenneth Michael Wipfli, 35, in relation to a stabbing in the 1500 block of Pearson Avenue Thursday morning.

Five charges have been approved against Wipfli and a warrant for his arrest has been issued. The charges include one count each of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possessing weapon for dangerous purpose and two counts of breach of probation.

The victim was taken to hospital with injuries. RCMP were called to the scene at 8:30 a.m.

He's described as aboriginal,

First Nations male, 185 cm (6'1") tall and weighing 97 kg (214 lbs) with black hair and brown eyes.

Wipfli is well known to the police and courts and has an extensive criminal record with convictions for assault and trafficking. He's considered violent and should not be approached.
