Prince George RCMP suspect the two armed robberies over the weekend as well as one in mid-February are related.

On Friday, police were called at about 9:30 p.m. to a convenience store in the Foothills Plaza in the 4100 block of 15th Avenue where a man wearing a black ski mask, blue jeans and a dark jacket made off with cash, lottery tickets and tobacco products after producing a weapon.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, 20-25 years old, 165 cm (5'5") tall, with a slim build, and weighing 68 kg (150 lbs)

On Sunday at about 11:30 p.m., RCMP were called to a convenience store in the 3600 block of Austin Road West where a man and a woman also made off with cash, lottery tickets and tobacco products after producing a weapon.

The man was wearing grey jeans, black jacket, dark shoes, a black balaclava mask and red bandana and is described as either South Asian or First Nations, 173 to 180 cm (5'8" to 5'11") tall with a muscular build.

The woman, meanwhile, wore black yoga pants with a pink waistband, black jacket, and a black balaclava mask and is described as Caucasian with bright blue eyes.

RCMP say the robberies hold similarities with each other and one on Feb. 13 when a man wearing a full face mask and dark clothing targeted a 4200-block Fifth Avenue gas station at about 9 p.m., leaving with money and tobacco products.

"We haven't ruled out that the same people are involved," Cpl. Craig Douglass said.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
