'Adventure Cruise' set for Family Day

An Adventure Cruise is being planned for the streets of Prince George on Family Day.

Organized by the same team that put on the Candy Cruise this past Halloween, it will consist of 25 activities and the quest is to get as many of them completed in five hours, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, February 15.

Details on what they will involve will be released closer to the day through "Family Day Adventure Cruise" on Facebook. To ensure everyone can participate, most of the activities can be completed by using public transit and walking and only a few can only be done by car.

"The 25 activities that folks will need to complete are spread out around the city and have been planned to prevent any crowding," said organizing team member Dave Horton. "It’s going to be that shot of fun, play and memory making with your loved ones that is so needed right now.”

Some major prizes will be up for grabs, including an Xbox and a Nintendo Switch.

To enter print or download the Adventure Cruise Card, mark the card when you complete challenges. Take pictures and post them (and a copy of your filled card) to Instagram or Facebook before 10 a.m. on Tuesday February 1 at #pgadventurecruise.

Winners will be drawn from different categories, including completed card, partial card, best photo, and random photo draw.
