Sweden hammers Finland in World Under-17 Hockey Challenge opener

Alexander Holtz, Erik Hedlund, William Hallen, Lucas Raymond, Zion Nybeck and Daniel Ljungman scored for Sweden.

Roby Jarventie had the lone goal for Finland.

Meanwhile, a game between Canada Red and Russia was suspended in the third period because of a power outage. The game will resume on Sunday with Russia leading 3-2.

The eight-team tournament features three entries from Canada, Russia, the United States, the Czech Republic, Finland and Sweden.

The Americans face the Czech Republic on Sunday, while Canada Black takes on Canada White.
