MONTREAL — The Montreal Alouettes signed Canadian offensive lineman Kwabena Asare and American defensive back Kenneth Durden to one-year deals Tuesday.
The six-foot-eight, 270-pound Aware participated in the Calgary Stampeders training camp last season before joining Montreal's practice squad in October. Prior to that, he spent three seasons with Edmonton after being selected in the sixth round No. 49 overall, in the 2017 CFL draft.
Durden, 30, joins the Alouettes after spending the last six seasons in the NFL with the Las Vegas Raiders, New York Giants and Tennessee Titans.
"We added two experienced football players to our roster," Montreal GM Danny Maciocia said in a statement. "Asare knows our league well, while Kenneth has accumulated some precious professional football experience in the NFL.
"We are looking forward to seeing these two talented players on the field in these upcoming weeks."
