PHOTOS: Santa Claus comes to town (and by town, we mean Kamloops)

For 39 years Santa has been gracing the Tournament Capital with a parade through the city's core.

And this year was no different.

Well, it was a little different than recent years, as the parade took place during twilight, as the sun set and evening fell on the city. This year's floats, adorned with Christmas lights, shone brighter than ever, thanks to it being dark.

Thousands of people, young and old, showed up for the annual event. Kids lined the streets, excited for the variety of characters that walked by. There were Disney princesses, Elmo, the Cookie Monster and, of course, Kris Kringle himself.
