A dynamic dozen youth athletes who have made an impact on the national sports scene will be honoured as guests of the Prince George Sports Hall of Fame.

A dynamic dozen youth athletes who have made an impact on the national sports scene will be honoured as guests of the Prince George Sports Hall of Fame.

All 12 made a name for themselves in their respective sports while bringing national attention to Prince George.

The list includes: Wes Black, rugby, wrestling and football; Erin Bull, taekwon-do; Andrew Chrobot, swimming; Brett Connolly, hockey; Kevin Gaiesky, track and field; Katie Mann, swimming; Matt Neumann, biathlon; Megan Spooner, hockey and ringette; Dennis Stark, basketball; Marinka Van Hage, Special Olympics; Mercedes Van Koughnett, basketball; and Alix Wells, alpine skiing and soccer.

They will receive their awards April 10 at the P.G. Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony at the Kinsmen Hall. On that night, five new members will be inducted into the Hall, including: Scott Bellavance, freestyle skiing; Kim Chadwick, bowling; Tony Tomra, powerlifting; Kurt Ottesen, taekwon-do; Wayne Sponagle, boxing; and Hans Niedermayer, soccer.

Tickets are $35 each, and will be made available on Feb. 15.
