Wheelchair rugby Have-a-Go event to be held in Prince George

There’s a try-it-you-might-like-it event being held in Prince George. It’s for wheelchair rugby. Everyone is invited to join the BC Wheelchair Sports Association in partnership with the Northern Adapted Sports Association Feb.

There’s a try-it-you-might-like-it event being held in Prince George.

It’s for wheelchair rugby.

Everyone is invited to join the BC Wheelchair Sports Association in partnership with the Northern Adapted Sports Association Feb. 23 from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Northern Sport Centre.

The event is called Have-A-Go that offers a fun and inclusive setting.

Learn about the sport, meet the people involved, learn about the opportunities and get to know about the adapted sport association in the community.

Prince George athlete Joel Ewert will be in attendance along with Trevor Hirschfield, the provincial team coach, 4x paralympian, and Team Canada co-captain.

This event is open to all abilities and all ages are welcome.

All equipment will be provided.

Children are encouraged to bring a friend or family member to participate with them. Wheelchair rugby is a mixed-gender sport.

No experience is necessary.
