Hart Judo Academy athletes battled their way to three medals at the Pacific International tournament, held in Richmond on the weekend.
Mark Whalley was the club's top finisher. Competing in the intermediate men's category, he claimed silver in the under-66-kilogram weight class.
Ken Wiskin (intermediate men, under-81kg) and Doug Gould (senior men's brown and black belt, under-81kg) also grabbed spots on the podium. Both won bronze medals. Richard King and Kolton Ferris placed fourth in their categories. King was entered in the novice men's heavyweight division while Ferris was on the mat in the senior men's brown and black belt category and competed in the over-100kg weight class.
