Is trying a new sport one of your New Year’s resolutions? If so, you’re in luck.

The Silvertip Archers are hosting a “try-it afternoon” event on Saturday, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Archers who aren’t members of the club are also welcome to check out the club’s facilities at the Silvertip Archers Indoor Range at 4543 W. Austin Rd. (the former Austin Road Elementary School).

The drop-in fee is $5 and equipment is available for rent for an additional $5.

The club will be holding an archery second-hand equipment sale at the indoor range on Jan. 22 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. People looking to sell their used archery equipment can bring a table and set up for free.

For more information, go online to the club’s website.
