UNBC women's basketball team drops pair in Alberta

The UNBC Timberwolves women’s basketball team was easily handled by the University of Alberta Pandas over the weekend, losing 71-50 on Saturday and 81-39 on Friday.

The UNBC Timberwolves women’s basketball team was easily handled by the University of Alberta Pandas over the weekend, losing 71-50 on Saturday and 81-39 on Friday.

On Saturday, Amrit Manak led UNBC with 17 points, four rebounds, and three assists, while Viktoria Filatova came off the bench for 15 points, five rebounds, five assists, and four steals.

On Friday, Sveta Boykova had16 points for UNBC, to go along with 14 rebounds, four steals and three blocks.

The Timberwolves are in Kelowna on Friday and Saturday to play the UBC Okanagan Heat.
