The UNBC Timberwolves women's soccer team blew a two-goal advantage and had to settle for a 2-2 draw against the Mount Royal Cougars on Saturday in Canada West action.

In the game played at Mount Royal Stadium in Calgary, the T-wolves led 1-0 at the half on a goal by Sidney Roy in the 26th minute. Jessica Manning notched her first goal of the season in the 52nd minute to give the visitors a 2-0 lead.

But the Cougars rebounded with goals 20 minutes apart from Kristen Bloom (64') and Kelsey Kinzner (84').

The single point allowed the T-wolves (0-6-2) to remain tied with the expansion Cougars (0-4-2) as both teams navigate their first season of CIS soccer.

Sunday the T-wolves were no match for the rested Alberta Pandas (4-0-2) who handed UNBC its sixth loss by a 6-0 score.

Three teams have already qualified for Canada West playoffs in women's action, the Trinity Western Spartans (7-0), Victoria Vikes (6-0-1) and UBC Thunderbirds (6-1). The top eight of 13 teams make the post season.

UNBC hosts the Calgary Dinos (1-3-3) and Lethbridge Pronghorns (1-6) on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, at the North Cariboo field. Both games start at noon.
