UNBC soccer starts next week

The men's soccer preseason starts next weekend for the UNBC Timberwolves. They will travel to Kamloops for an exhibition tournament hosted by the Thompson Rivers WolfPack. UNBC will face the WolfPack next Friday at 6 p.m.

The men's soccer preseason starts next weekend for the UNBC Timberwolves.

They will travel to Kamloops for an exhibition tournament hosted by the Thompson Rivers WolfPack.

UNBC will face the WolfPack next Friday at 6 p.m. at Hillside Stadium, then has a Aug. 13 game at 9 a.m. against the Douglas College Royals. The tournament continues Aug. 14 at 9 a.m. with the T-wolves matched with the Quest University Kermodes, followed by a rematch with the WolfPack on Aug. 15 at 10 a.m.

The UNBC men open their CIS Canada West Conference regular-season schedule at home at North Cariboo Field on Aug. 26 against the Trinity Western Spartans in the first of a two-game set.

The UNBC women's soccer team has its season-opening week set for Aug. 9-11. The T-wolves play host to the Winnipeg Wesmen on the night of Sept. 9, then take on the Manitoba Bisons on Sept. 11.
