UNBC men's basketball team loses twice in Edmonton

The UNBC Timberwolves men’s basketball team lost both weekend games to the University of Alberta Golden Bears, falling 70-65 on Saturday and  on Friday.

The UNBC Timberwolves men’s basketball team lost both weekend games to the University of Alberta Golden Bears, falling 70-65 on Saturday and 89-74 on Friday.

The Timberwolves missed scoring opportunities, shooting 6-for-26 from three and just  3-for-11 from the free-throw line.

Spencer Ledoux led UNBC with 22 points and six rebounds on Saturday, with Chris Ross adding 13 points, nine rebounds, and six assists in his first start of the campaign.

On Friday, Evgeny Baukin had career-best 23 points for UNBC on 9/13 shooting while Darren Hunter (13), Justin Sunga (12) and Ledoux (11) all finished in double digits.

The Timberwolves are back in action on Friday and Saturday in Kelowna against the UBC Okanagan Heat.
