The UNBC Timberwolves kicked off their weekend with a dominant 94-66 men's basketball victory Friday over the UBC Okanagan Heat in Kelowna.
Evgeny Baukin paced the Timberwolves with 21 points while Josh Gillespie delivered a 17-point, 13 rebound double-double effort. Darren Hunter (11), Chris Ross (12) and Spencer Ledoux (10) all finished in double-digits offensively for UNBC.
The two teams play again Saturday at 4 p.m. in the final game of 2023 for UNBC before resuming league play in January.
