The Tsen Noye Basketball Classic planned for Friday, March 13 at the Northern Sport Centre, has been canceled due to health and wellness concerns related to COVID-19.
Grade 7 students who attend feeder schools of Prince George Secondary and Duchess Park Secondary were to participate in the Tsen Noye Basketball Classic at the Northern Sport Centre. The Tsen Noye (meaning sacred) game was sponsored by Canadian Tire and the Northern Huskies sports program, which operates through SD 57's Indigenous education department.
The game was to be co-ed in format. Team PGSS and Team Duchess Park were to play two 20-minutes halves (running time) in front of close to 300 students and other spectators.
