Trojans tough in provincial victory

Ranked 12th at the 16-team tournament, the north central zone champion Trojans will take on the No. 9 Pacific Academy Breakers of Surrey in a playoff game today at 1:45 p.m.

The Trojans opened with a 72-66 loss Wednesday to No. 5 Seacove of North Vancouver. The best D.P. Todd can finish is ninth.

Meanwhile, at the triple-A boys provincial tournament also being played in Langley, the Duchess Park Condors were eliminated from title contention when they lost 62-44 to the South Kamloops Titans in a quarterfinal playoff Thursday.

The Titans, ranked No. 2, will next play the winner of Thursday's Pitt Meadows-Richmond quarterfinal. The loser of that game will face the No. 7 Condors today at

7 p.m. Duchess Park can finish fifth if the Condors win their next two games.
