Alyx Treasure clinched her second trip to the NCAA Div. 1 outdoor track and field championships on Saturday.

The Prince George high jumper, a 22-year-old junior competing at Kansas State, finished first overall at the NCAA regional championships in Fayetteville, Ark. with a leap of 1.77 metres.

That jump tied her with Texas' Shanay Briscoe and Kirsten Hesseltine of Arkansas for the top spot. The trio were the only athletes to clear each bar on their first attempt.

Treasure became the first Kansas State Wildcat women's high jumper to appear on the outdoor national stage since Kaylene Wagner in 2007.

The national NCAA championships are at the University of Oregon in Eugene from June 11 to 14.
