It came down to another sprint finish to determine the winner at the Evolve Road Race on Sunday.
In the end, Tom Skinner crossed the finish line first ahead of Kris Yip and Dan Bedard in the 62-kilometre race, the second event of the season organized by the Prince George Cycling Club.
Skinner clocked one hour, 46:04 minutes for the win, followed closely behind by Yip in second place at 1:46:05 and Bedard in third place at 1:46:06. Rob Millar was fourth with a time of 1:49:22.
The race featured three loops around a course in Pineview as 14 men completed all three laps.
The winner in the women's 43km division was also determined by a sprint finish.
Adrienne Stedford clocked 1:17:57 to take the title, followed by Marika Jurgens in second place with a time of 1:17:59 and Wendy Fiala in third place with a time of 1:18:00. Six women competed in the two-lap race.
The next road race is on Sunday, May 24 at 10:30 a.m. with the start and finish in front of Pineview elementary. The men will cover 90km (five laps), while the women will complete 54km (three laps). There is an intermediate division where cyclists can pedal 72km over four laps.
