The Fan the Flame Awards Banquet and Gala is proving to be a hot ticket.
According to organizers of the Feb. 11 event - which will feature Olympic champion speed skater Catriona Le May Doan as the keynote speaker - fewer than 100 passes remain.
As long as tickets are still available, they will be for sale until Feb. 3. Tickets can be reserved via email: ([email protected]). Please use Fan the Flame in the subject line.
For businesses wanting to get involved, there are still sponsorship opportunities. Current corporate sponsors are Canadian Tire Prince George, the 2015 Canada Winter Games Legacy Committee, Chuck's Auto Supply (Williams Lake), CKPG TV/99.3 The Drive/101.3 The River and The Prince George Citizen.
Le May Doan, a three-time Olympic medalist (including gold in the 500-metre distance in 1998 in Nagano and 2002 in Salt Lake City), will deliver an address called The Power of Sport. She will also reveal the winners of Rising Star awards and 2015 Canada Winter Games Difference Maker awards.
The Fan the Flame Banquet and Awards Gala will be held at the Civic Centre.
