Three Spruce Kings voted into BCHL all-star tournament

Simon Labelle, John Herrington and Aaron Trotter to join Nick Rheaume

Three more Prince George Spruce Kings will be among the skaters at the B.C. Hockey League all-star tournament.

Forwards Simon Labelle and John Herrington and goalie Aaron Trotter were among the players selected via a fan vote, the BCHL said this week.

They will join Spruce Kings forward Nick Rheaume, who was among the first 18 players selected by a vote of BCHL coaches and announced in late November.

All teams will be represented at the tournament. The 24 selected will be split up again to make four separate 3-on-3 teams, two from each conference.

At four players, the Spruce Kings will be the most represented at the tournament. No other team has more than two players at the tournament.

The tournament will be held January 15 in Penticton.
