Prince George Cougars centre Koehn Ziemmer is packing his bags, after receiving an invitation to attend the World Junior Selection Camp in Calgary, July 23-27.

The forward joins Cougars’ defenceman Ethan Samson and goalie Tyler Brennan, who were tapped for the camp back in June.

"It is an honour to be invited to anything related with Hockey Canada, and Kohen is very well deserving of this," said Cougars head coach Mark Lamb said in statement issued on Friday.

A total of 28 forwards, 15 defencemen and four goalies are scheduled to attend the camp, in hopes of earning the right to suit up for Team Canada. Halifax and Moncton, N.B. are slated to cohost the 2023 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, running from Dec. 26 to Jan. 5.
