Tryouts for the team were held in May in five locations around the province where more than 140 players tried out for the team.

Team B.C. heads into the tournament as the defending champions. British Columbia coaches are John Braaten, Don Hass and Prince George's Jim Swanson. The B.C. minor baseball director is Orville Germaine.
