The old college try added to World Baseball Challenge efforts

During the 2009 Enbridge Northern Gateway World Baseball Challenge, the Internet webcast was a major hit. For the next WBC, students from State University of New York at Cortland are working on attracting sponsorship dollars for the live action feed.

During the 2009 Enbridge Northern Gateway World Baseball Challenge, the Internet webcast was a major hit. For the next WBC, students from State University of New York at Cortland are working on attracting sponsorship dollars for the live action feed.

"We are tapping into youthful energy and the cutting edge of marketing principals," said Shawn Rice, marketing director for the 2011 WBC. "The international element they bring is also a positive factor. They have already been working both sides of the border to take the World Baseball Challenge to a new level."
