Andrej Vdovenko served up a championship in men's singles at the annual P.G. Open tennis tournament Saturday at the Prince George Tennis Courts.
In a battle between Prince George residents Vdovenko defeated Chris Li in straight sets, 7-5, 6-3 in the men's open event. In the men's intermediate singles, Darcy Smith of Dawson Creek won the round-robin event while Darren Smit of Prince George was second.
The men's doubles event was won by Cory Fleck and Vdovenko with John and Chris Li placing second.
There were 19 participants in the tournament in the two-day event.
The next tennis competition is the Wood'n White/Pickle Ball tournament Aug. 18.
