Qubec rolled into the final as the defending champion.
Manitoba was skipped by Dennis Thiessen, who won gold at the Paralympic Winter Games in March as a member of Team Canada with Jim Armstrong, Ina Forrest, Sonja Gaudet, Mark Ideson and their Prince George coach Joe Rea.

Thiessen then defeated Alberta 8-7 in that game and beat Ontario 8-3 in Sunday's semifinal to advance to the championship tilt against Quebec.
Quebec finished the round-robin atop the standings with an 8-1 record, followed by second place Ontario (7-2). The two rinks met in Saturday's 1 vs. 2 page playoff game where the hosts knocked off Ontario 6-2.
