TaeKwon-Do provincials on tap

Many of the top martial arts athletes in the province will be together under one roof today in Prince George. The B.C. Provincial TaeKwon-Do Championships will kick into action at Duchess Park secondary school at 8 a.m.

Many of the top martial arts athletes in the province will be together under one roof today in Prince George.

The B.C. Provincial TaeKwon-Do Championships will kick into action at Duchess Park secondary school at 8 a.m. and are expected to go until 5 p.m. In various divisions, participants will compete in patterns, sparring, team events, power breaking and specialty breaking. The championships are sanctioned by the International TaeKwon-Do Federation of B.C.

Prince George will be represented by athletes from Family TaeKwon-Do - the host club - and from Freedom TaeKwon-Do.

Duchess Park is located at 747 Winnipeg Street.

Spectators are welcome.
