Skiers from across Alberta and B.C. will race down the slopes this weekend at the Western Canada Ski Cross Series at Tabor Mountain.
The event features 74 racers eight years and older, along with members of the Canadian Men's Development Ski Cross team who will ski the same ski cross course that was used in the recent 2015 Canada Winter Games.
Racing begins today and tomorrow at 9 a.m. and will conclude at 3:30 p.m. both days.
Prince George is the third stop in the four-race series. It began at Big White Jan. 18 - 19, followed by Lake Louise Feb. 1 - 2 and will wrap up in Lake Louise from March 22 to 23.
The event at Tabor Mountain is a warm-up to the Canadian National Ski Cross Championships from March 17 to 19.
