One of the area's longest-running ski hills is set to welcome the two-wheeled crowd.
Tabor Mountain Resort is officially adding mountain biking to its menu today. The mountain's new trail network will open to riders at 10:30 a.m. Summer lift rates have been set at $30 (16-and-younger) and $35 (17-and-older).
Each rider must have a proper downhill bike with disc brakes (no road bikes or BMXs) and a helmet with chin strap. A full-faced helmet and protective padding are recommended.
Tabor is using 2016 as a test year.
"We want everyone to come out, ride what we have and give us feedback," says a post on Tabor's website (www.tabormountain.com).
"We want to know what you think about everything from the taste of the food to the smell of the wood.
"We want to make this the best experience available."
Tabor Mountain is a 20-minute drive east of Prince George.
