The UNBC Timberwolves will get their first pre-season tests tonight at the Northern Sport Centre.
The women's and men's basketball teams will tip off against the Grande Prairie Regional College Wolves, the women at 6 p.m. and the men at 8 p.m. On Saturday, the clubs will meet again, women at 1 p.m. and men at 3 p.m.
The UNBC squads, B.C. champions at the college level in 2011-12, are preparing for their first seasons in the Canada West conference of Canadian Interuniversity Sport. They'll make their Canada West debuts Nov. 2 in Kamloops against the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack.
