Player to watch: Brooke Molby, Goalkeeper
Molby has been incredibly steady and reliable, and occasionally magnificent this season for UNBC. The senior goalkeeper’s leadership and commitment cannot be questioned, as she has backstopped a young backline to better and better standards. This weekend, her final career games, Molby will look to put a stamp on a tremendous career in green & gold.

Player to watch: Danielle Robertson, Goalkeeper
Danielle Robertson has stopped a lot of shots in her Canada West career. The third-most in conference history, in fact. This weekend, which marks the final games of her TRU career, the senior ‘keeper will surely be looking for one of her signature, intense performances against the rival T-wolves.

Quotes:

UNBC’s Monika Johnson

On Senior Weekend…

“We have a lot of girls graduating, so this is going to be an emotional game. I think we are all going in to play for those girls that are graduating. Just putting everything on the line. This is the last game we are going to have with them. So just play for those girls.”

On the matchup with the WolfPack…

“TRU is a new, upcoming team. I think they are going to be good competition for us. We have played some of the teams that are highest in the league. This game, we have to treat it like we are playing the top team in the league. Play our opponent like we play every game, and play our game, as well.”

On the growth of the team this year…

“I am so proud of all the girls. We have come very far. We are connecting and getting forward. We were focusing a lot on defensive play, but now that we have cracked that and teams are having a harder time getting behind us, we are now focusing on attacking plays. The more we focus on that, the better we are going to be.”

Assists Leader: Kensho Ando: 5 Assists
Points Leader: Kensho Ando: 6 Points
Saves Leader: Daniel Zadravec: 49 Saves

Player to watch: Hussein Behery, Midfielder
As talented with the ball as any player in the conference, Hussein Behery will be playing in the final home games of his Canada West career. The Cairo, Egypt product is a threatening presence, and will be looking to propel the T-wolves in a pair of must-win games.

Thompson Rivers WolfPack (3-2-5)
4th in Pacific Division Standings
9 Goals For
9 Goals Against
Goals Leader: James Fraser: 3 Goals
Assists Leader: Marca Favaro: 3 Assists
Points Leader: James Fraser: 4 Points
Saves Leader: Jackson Gardner: 21 Saves

Player to watch: James Fraser, Forward
Playing in his final career Canada West regular season games, talented striker James Fraser will be looking to make his mark. Rangy and physical, the Canada West All-Star gives defenders fits with his finishing, so the Timberwolves will need to keep an eye on the Penticton product.

On the matchup with the WolfPack…

“TRU is fun to play. We like playing them. They are physical, they’re a great challenge. They are a big team, but we love to battle. We have shown that throughout the season. Even if we have gone down a goal, we will come back and we will score on you.”

On the five graduating seniors…

“I love these guys. It is really sad, in a sense, but I am so glad I got to play alongside these guys. Live with some of them, spend a lot of time with them. We will play for them.”

On the atmosphere this weekend…

“Our fans are amazing. Everything about this team is unreal, and playing at Masich is like a dream come true. We know we are still in it. It’s not totally in our hands, but we know what we have to do to get the job done. That’s what we are going to do.”
