Friday night at the Northern Sport Centre, the multi-talented guard for the UNBC Northern Timberwolves women's basketball team scored a game-high 17 points in an 80-33 win against the Douglas College Royals. Van Koughnett also pulled down seven rebounds, dished out two assists and had three steals. All that production came in 25 minutes of court time and earned her the nod as player-of-the-game.

In Friday's late game, the UNBC men (12-1) downed Douglas (6-7) 85-68. Kevan Madsen scored 24 points for UNBC.
