With the loss the UNBC Timberwolves fall to 0-3-1 in their first season of play in the CIS, Canada West division. After opening with a 0-0 tie against fellow expansion squad, the Winnipeg Wesmen, the T-wolves have been outscored 28-0 in their next three games including a 10-0 loss Saturday in Prince George to the Victoria Vikes.

Against the Cascades the T-wolves spotted their opponent a 4-0 advantage at the half on a pair of goals from Carly Neeson and singles from Donna Pinning and Sunayna Samra in the final five minutes. Fraser Valley added to their lead early in the second half with quick goals from Danika Snook and Shelly Beck. Tristan Corneil completed the scoring in the 84th minute.

Next weekend the T-wolves host the Saskatchewan Huskies and Regina Cougars at the NCSSL fields while the UNBC men play their first home games against the Trinity Western Spartans.
