The UNBC Northern Timberwolves guaranteed themselves their first-ever regular season championship when they edged the Vancouver Island University Mariners 67-60 in a packed Northern Sport Centre on Friday night. The Timberwolves bumped their record in the B.C. Colleges Athletic Association to 16-1 and dropped the Nanaimo-based Mariners to 13-4.
