Members of the Twisted Cork/Regional Security Stylers won't be complaining about the welts and bruises they sustained during weekend action in the Prince George Senior Lacrosse Association.

The Stylers, who have been painfully short on victories the past few seasons, won both games they played. On Saturday night at the Coliseum, they edged the Shooters Pub Devils 16-15 in overtime. Then, Sunday on the same floor, they cut down the Mackenzie LumberJax 17-10.

Mike Bayley fired Saturday's OT winner, just 1:28 into the extra session. Bayley's goal came while the Stylers were on a power play. Devils player Tony Degans, who was handed a penalty for charging 61-year-old Stylers goalie Ray Masson, was the man in the box when Bayley ended the game. Bayley finished the contest with two goals and one assist.

Andrew Schwab, however, was the true star for the Stylers. He scorched the Devils for 14 points on the Stylers' 15 goals (eight goals, six assists). Secondary scoring was provided by Carson Toth (three goals, two assists) and Mike Padalec (two goals, two assists).

Brock Paciejewski, Phil Michel and Degans -- all with three goals and one helper -- powered the Devils offensively.

In Sunday's game, Schwab collected six goals and six assists and Toth added six goals and three assists, while Masson was again between the pipes for the win. For the LumberJax, Alexander Roberts had a hat trick and teammate Jared Peet contributed two goals and three assists.

The Stylers (2-1) lost their opening game 17-9 to the BX Pub Bandits last Monday. In the three games his team has played, Schwab has piled up a league-leading 34 points (19 goals, 15 assists).

Saturday's win by the Stylers kicked off a tripleheader at the Coliseum. In the games that followed, the LumberJax downed the Quesnel Crossfire 18-4 and the defending champion College Heights Pub Assault beat the Bandits 11-9.

In the LumberJax-Crossfire tilt, Trent Poulin led the winners with five goals and one assist. Chad Gratton -- with one goal and seven assists -- also had a big night. James Reid scored twice for the Crossfire, a new team in the PGSLA this season.

In the game between the Assault and Bandits, Clarke Anderson and Craig Dunfield both scored four goals for College Heights Pub, while Drew Doig put up four for the Bandits.

The Bandits (2-1) will take on the Devils (0-2) Monday at the Coliseum. The opening face-off is at 8 p.m.
