Ray's Stucco 18+ Open Rush ringette squad finished second the U18 Sweetheart tournament in Kelowna last weekend.
The Rush lost to host Kelowna 7-3 in the final.
The Rush began the tourney with wins over Burnaby (5-4), and Kelowna (5-0) on Friday, but were edged 5-4 by North West Vancouver Saturday morning. They beat Penticton 8-2 and received a bye into the final.
It was the last tournament of the season for the Prince George squad.
Rush forwards Justine Lamothe, Aimee Qualizza, Brooklyn Howard, Kristen Tooms, Janelle Tuininga, Sydney Irving, Sayna Pickering, Rory Bird and Layne Ongman had a great season scoring several goals.
Stephaney Thompson, Caitlin Zacharias, Nicole Crandell, Joey Matzelle and Kylie Bird had a strong season stopping the opposition. Netminder Lisa Matzelle had an excellent season in the crease.
The Rush won the Richmond Classic in January and a tournament in Burnaby in November.
