A new chapter in the history of pro lacrosse in Vancouver unfolded Saturday night in Denver where the Vancouver Stealth lost a 13-12 thriller to the Colorado Mammoth, and Jeff Moleski of Prince George played a role in turning that page.

Moleski, a 10-year National Lacrosse League veteran played a regular shift on defence and was held off the scoresheet and for the most part did his job smothering the Mammoth's top snipers, but one too many got past the Stealth in their 2014 season opener.

Adam Jones scored three goals and added one assist to lead the Mammoth (1-1) to victory in front of home crowd of 15,101 at the Pepsi Center.

Based last season in Everett, Wash., the Stealth is now based in Langley. The 30-year-old Moleski and the Stealth will play the Minnesota Swarm in their home-opener Saturday at the Langley Events Centre.
