The Kings and Grande Prairie Storm battled to a 2-2 tie in a preseason game played Friday afternoon in Dawson Creek.

Kyle Manlow and RJay Berra (on a power play) scored for the Spruce Kings. Former King Dan Correale scored both goals for the Storm.

Princeton recruit Ryan Bennitez played well in his first game action in goal for the Kings. Kirk Thompson was the goalie of record for Grande Prairie. The shot count was not available.

The Kings did gain the upper hand in the shootout that followed an overtime session, but because it wasn't officially part of the game it was classed as a skills competition and did not register in the final outcome.

The Kings will take on the Dawson Creek Rage tonight in Dawson Creek. The Rage is an expansion team this season in the North American Hockey League.
