Spruce Kings weekend home games postponed

Spruce Kings forward Nick Rhéaume has been named to the BCHL All-Stars Tournament roster.

The B.C. Hockey League has rescheduled several games this week, as a result of the ongoing travel issues in B.C. caused by last week’s flooding.
The Prince George Spruce Kings scheduled home games against Chilliwack on Friday and Nanaimo on Saturday have been postponed.
Instead, the Spruce Kings will hit the road for an away game against the Vernon Vipers on Friday.

 

RHEAUME NAMED BCHL ALL-STAR

Spruce Kings forward Nick Rhéaume is one of 18 players selected by the BCHL coaches to play in the league’s 3-on-3 outdoor All-Star Tournament on Jan. 14 to Jan. 16 in Penticton.
The all-stars will be divided into four teams of six skaters and one goalie. The remaining six skaters and all four goalies will be selected by fan votes. Go online to www.bchl.ca/fanvote to cast your vote. Spruce Kings forwards John Herrington and Simon Labelle, along with goalie Aaron Trotter, are eligible to vote for. Voting opened on Wednesday and closes on Nov. 30 at midnight.
The all-star tournament will feature a round robin format, with games limited to two seven-minute periods.
Rhéaume, originally from Sherbrooke, Que., is seventh in the league for scoring, with 21 points (10 goals, 11 assists) in 15 games.
