A rematch of the B.C. Hockey League semifinal series is on the home agenda for fans of the Prince George Spruce Kings.

The Chilliwack Chiefs will be the opponents for a doubleheader, Sept. 13-14, at the Coliseum as the Spruce Kings kick off the home portion of their 58-game schedule for the 2013-14 season. The Chiefs and Spruce Kings battled in a hard hitting best-of-five series in the spring that went the distance with the Chiefs emerging victorious in the Lower Mainland division clash.

The Spruce Kings continue their four-game home stand the following weekend (Sept. 20-21) when the Penticton Vees and Trail Smoke Eaters visit.

Prince George also has a nine-game home stand from Jan. 25 to Feb. 14, opening with four games against the Coquitlam Express, followed by visits from the Alberni Valley Bulldogs, West Kelowna Warriors, two games with the Langley Rivermen and wrapping up with a visit from the Nanaimo Clippers.

The Rivermen will also be in Prince George for the final two regular season games Feb. 27-28.

There are four Sunday matinee games (3 p.m.) at the Coliseum (Dec. 1 and 15, Jan. 26 and Feb. 14), otherwise the puck drops on all games at 7 p.m.

The BCHL season begins the weekend of Sept. 6-8 in Chilliwack for the second annual BCHL Showcase where the Spruce Kings will play two games, against Cowichan Valley and Nanaimo.
