Spruce Kings playoff tickets now on sale

The Prince George Spruce Kings took on the Penticton Vees in this April 19, 2022 Interior Conference semifinal playoff game in Prince George. The teams will meet again in the opening round of the BCHL playoffs, starting April 5 in Penticton.

With two weeks left in the B.C. Hockey League schedule there’s no mystery who will be the opponents for the Prince George Spruce Kings when they open the playoffs on the first weekend of April.

The Kings will be in the South Okanagan to face the two-time defending champion Penticton Vees.

Every team in the Interior Conference makes the postseason and the Vees (37-8-3-2, 79 points) have already locked up first place with just four games left in the regular season.

The Spruce Kings (15-32-3-0, 33 points) also have four games left and will finish eighth in the conference.

The Vees-Spruce Kings best-of-seven series starts Friday, April 5 in Penticton, with Game 2 the following night. Then the scene switches to Prince George for Games 3 and 4 on Tuesday, April 9 and Wednesday, April 10 at Kopar Memorial Arena.

If a Game 5 is needed that would be played Friday, April 12 in Penticton, with a Game 6 to follow, if necessary, on Sunday, April 14 in Prince George., with Game 7 scheduled for Tuesday, April 16 in Penticton.

Playoff tickets are now on sale at the Spruce Kings office at Kopar Memorial Arena. Individual game tickets are priced at $16 (adults), $13 (seniors) and $5 (youth).  

Fans who buy their 2024-25 season tickets will ger their playoff tickets free of charge.

For season ticket subscribers who do not buy playoff tickets as part of the free ticket deal, those seats will be made available to the public at noon on game days.

The Spruce Kings office is open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and from noon-4 p.m. this Saturday. The office will be closed Monday, March 25, Friday, March 29 and Monday, April 1.

The Kings are on home ice this Friday and Saturday to face the Vernon Vipers, then will visit Vernon and Merritt to finish the season the following weekend.
