The Prince George Spruce Kings have acquired import forward Jack Kurrle from the Trail Smoke Eaters in exchange for future considerations.

In 20 games with Trail this season, Kurrle has scored three goals and one assist for four points.

“We’re excited to add Jack to our program,” said Spruce Kings general Manager Mike Hawes. “He’s a hard-working player that plays a solid 200-foot game and will contribute in both ends of the ice for us. I liked what I saw in his game when we recently played Trail and look forward to seeing what he will add to our forward group.”

The 19-year-old joined the Smoke Eaters ahead of the 2022-23 BCHL season after spending last season with the Maine Nordiques of the North American Hockey League. In 48 games last season with Maine, the Middlesex, Vermont product tallied four goals and 10 assists for 14 points.
