Spruce Kings fall to Smoke Eaters on Drop the Gloves and Sock It to ‘Em night

The Kings play the Smoke Eaters again tonight at Kopar in the last game before the Christmas break.

The Prince George Spruce Kings lost 8-7 to the Trail Smoke Eaters Friday night at Kopar Memorial Arena but the St. Vincent de Paul Society was the big winner on Drop the Gloves and Sock It to ‘Em night.

Owen Goodbrand of the Kings scored just three minutes and two seconds into the game, sparking thousands of donated socks, mitts, scarves and toques being thrown over the glass by the soldout crowd.

Kai Greaves and Skogen Schrott both scored twice for the Kings, along with singles from Kilian McGregor-Bennett.

The Kings play the Smoke Eaters again tonight at Kopar in the last game before the Christmas break.
