Spruce Kings come up big to beat Penticton

The Prince George Spruce Kings upended the the Penticton Vees 7-4 Friday night at Kopar Memorial Arena.

Alexis Cournoyer and Kazumo Sasaki each scored two goals for the Kings, with singles from Skogen Schrott, Owen Goodbrand and Lindon Makow.

The Kings led 7-0 after two periods and held on for the win, with Charlie Zolin stopping 47 of 51 shots on goal from the Vees.

The Kings will get their chance to complete the weekend sweep on Saturday night, with puck drop at 6 p.m.
