Richard Peter, a member of Canada's Paralympic wheelchair basketball team, will be at the Northern Sport Centre gymnasium to demonstrate his sport and give people a chance to play the game from 1-1:50 p.m. Following is the complete event schedule.
Saturday, Sept. 17
At the Northern Sport Centre
10-10:50 a.m.
Badminton (ages 6-9), speed skating testing camp, lacrosse (girls aged 6-16), judo (ages 9-16).
11-11:50 a.m.
Badminton (ages 9-13), Sport Fit (ages 6-10, parents), open gym (families), lacrosse (boys aged 8-18), judo (ages 6-11).
12-12:50 p.m.
Biathlon (ages 12 and older, using laser rifles), cross country skiing (demonstration), Special Olympics (demonstration), lacrosse (all ages), judo (all ages).
1-1:50 p.m.
Wheelchair basketball (ages 8 and older), open gym (families), basketball (ages 7-12), soccer (girls aged 9-10), judo (ages 8-14).
2-2:50 p.m.
Wheelchair basketball (with Paralympian Richard Peter), sport fit (ages 6-12, families), basketball (ages 12-18), soccer (boys aged 9-10), judo (all ages and parents).
