A local ringette team skated to a sliver medal at a Thanksgiving weekend tournament in St. Albert, Alta.
All Roads Pilot Service/Hart Modular Homes, an Under-16 club from the Prince George Ringette Association, advanced to face Medicine Hat in the final but lost 8-1. Prince George also fell to Medicine Hat in its tournament opener, 7-4.
In between, All Roads/Hart Modular defeated St. Albert 4-1, dumped Edmonton 8-1 and then downed St. Albert 5-3 in the playoff semifinal round.
Offensively, Kiera Meroniuk was the sharpest shooter for Prince George. She finished the tournament with a team-high eight goals.
