High jumper Alyx Treasure of Prince George has leaped her way to a silver medal at the Western Canada Summer Games.
Treasure, a 19-year-old representing Team B.C., jumped 1.77 metres on Tuesday in Kamloops taking second place while Calgary's Rachel Machin took the gold with a jump of 1.8 metres.
Treasure recently captured a gold medal at the midget-an-older provincial championships in July with a jump of 1.75 metres, as well as a junior national championship after reaching 1.81 metres.
