In his last chance to qualify for the Pan American Games, local boxer Jag Seehra suffered a disappointing loss.
Seehra, a 21-year-old from the Inner City Boxing Club, fell 13-11 to a British Guyana fighter Sunday in Panama. Seehra is a member of the Canadian national B team. Under the guidance of coach Bob Pegues, he will now work on getting physically stronger, in preparation for another shot at national team duty next season.
The Pan Am Games are Oct. 14-30 in Guadalajara, Mexico.
