Queensway Auto World showed Sunday it was the class of Division 2 men's soccer in Prince George.
After battling upstart Team Heineken through a scoreless first half, Queensway put the North Cariboo Senior Soccer League quarterfinal game away with five goals in the second half for the 5-0 win.
Heineken battle hard, but were short benched with no subs, forcing players to stay on the field throughout the whole game. Queensway took advantage of the fatigue in the final 45 minutes.
The goal scorers for Queensway were: Andy McLachlan, Mariusz Berezowski, Jeremy Conba, James Herley and Mike Ingram.
Queensway keeper Matt Mortlock credited Heineken - who defeated Grewal Group 1-0 to earn the wild card berth - with keeping things even at the half.
"They defended better than we did," said Mortlock.
During the regular season, Queensway finished atop Division 2 with a 11-1-4 record, while Heineken were in the basement at 2-13-1.
