Jag Seehra took two huge, winning steps, in the Road to Glory Tournament Series.

Seehra, from Prince George's Inner City Boxing Club, punched his way to a pair of impressive victories in Kelowna on the weekend. In the 64-kilogram weight class, Seehra faced David Funk in his first bout and won easily, 14-3. That Saturday victory moved the P.G. pugilist into the Sunday final against Dylan Bishop. This time, in a fight picked as the best of the tournament, Seehra prevailed 13-7.

For Seehra, the Kelowna card was the perfect warmup for the provincial championships, Nov. 6-7 in Surrey. This season, Seehra is gunning for a spot on the Canadian national B team.

Kenny Lally, an Inner City boxer on the national A team, will also be in the ring at provincials. He'll compete in the 52kg category.
